Museum Archives
The Camden Museum maintains archives made up of newspaper clippings, letters, file notes, reminiscences, memorabilia, photographs, maps, oral histories and ephemera. These records are mostly held in files that are listed alphabetically. The contents of these files are uncatalogued.

Museum Library
The Camden Museum has a small Reference Library of books that are relevant to the local area.
Visitors are welcome to use the Library but may not borrow from it.

This comprehensive list of sources for researching Camden's local history is only a beginning.
would appreciate being made aware of any significant omissions so they can be included on any revision of this list.

The society also holds some personal records of individuals, minutes of local organizations and other manuscripts.
Visitors are welcome to consult the archives during museum opening hours.

Copying
The Camden Museum has a small photocopier available for visitors to the archives. Charges apply.

Research
The Camden Historical Society has very limited resources to undertake research, however visitors are welcome to conduct research using the museum archives.

Camden Area Family History Society
The society has holdings of local and Sydney newspapers, family records, shipping records, BDM and other records.
Researchers need to consult the society for details. Charges may apply.
