| CAMDEN AREA FAMILIES PROJECT Camden Area Families Project is a joint project between Camden Council Library Service, Camden Historical Society and Camden Area Family History Society which seeks to celebrate the history of families in the Camden Local Government Area from indigenous Australians to the present day.
LaunchThe project was launched on Saturday 22nd September 2007 at Camden Library as part of History Week with the theme ‘Find Your Place in History’. Our Family Story Families who have settled in the Camden area are invited to submit information about their family in the specified format. The format is 4 pages typed in Arial font 12points. Paper copy may be submitted at Camden Library or electronic copies emailed to library@camden.nsw.gov.au The Rapley Family of Camden 1. Our family in the Camden Area A description of what brought your family to the area, your home, farm, employment or business, generations and experiences. 2. Family Tree A Pedigree Chart template can be found here. You can save or print a blank form, fill in your information and print the form but you can't save a completed form to your computer. 3. Family Photos A selection of photos 4. Family memories and anecdotes Recollections or stories which capture aspects of your family life in the Camden area Family Paver A Paver Project will follow and we invite you to express your interest in the project. Pavers with a family name and the year the family came to the area may be purchased @ $20 each, it is envisioned that the pavers will be placed in locations at both Camden and Narellan. We encourage you to specify which location you prefer your paver lay. Research Support Camden Council Library, Camden Historical Society and Camden Area Family History Society can help families source information about their history and in formatting their submission and scanning photos.
